The 2019 GPS Chess Premiership season saw hundreds of students from across the nine GPS Member Schools display exceptional focus and impressive strategy.
After a hard fought season, Brisbane Grammar School took the 2019 Premiership title. A single point separated the top three positions with Churchie coming in a close second, followed by Brisbane Boys’ College.
Peter Brunckhorst, Brisbane Grammar School’s MiC Chess commented, “This season has been one of fantastic chess played in the best spirit and with a few surprises thrown in. All students who played GPS Chess in 2019 should be proud of what they have achieved.”
