2019 GPS Music Showcase a Magical Evening of Music

More than three hundred choristers and musicians from across the nine GPS schools performed to a packed house at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) last night. The 2019 GPS Music Showcase was an extraordinary day of music making, culminating in a spectacular evening of performances by Choir, Symphony Orchestra and Concert Band.

The program was warmly received by the audience and the evening proved a memorable experience for the student musicians and an a opportunity to bring the GPS Spirit of Fellowship to life.

Dr Michael Carroll, Principal, St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace and GPS Association Chairman for 2019 commented:

“The 2019 Music Showcase was a wonderful event celebrating the creativity, talent and dedication of students from across the GPS community. It also provided the opportunity to pay tribute to the leadership and commitment of the teachers and professional musicians who inspire and develop the students, and the wonderful communities of parents and families who provide invaluable support and encouragement.”
