The 2019 GPS Football season saw an exciting battle for the Premiership, with all 312 teams from the nine GPS schools showing exceptional determination.

For Churchie, 2019 was a truly historic season as their First XI team took home its first-ever GPS Football Premiership Trophy, since Football entered the GPS sporting program in 1991.

Director of Football Mr Derek Lennon, who has led the Churchie Football program for 12 years commented, “The level of football in the GPS competition continues to get higher and higher, and this year has been extremely competitive. The Premiership win has been a long time coming for the School and we are very proud of the achievement of the playing group and coaching staff.”

Toowoomba Grammar School enjoyed a strong season coming one point behind Churchie in second place, followed by The Southport School in third.

Players, staff, coaches, officials and supporters are to be congratulated on an outstanding 2019 GPS Football season.
