Code-breaking, crime scene investigation, abstract expressionism and engineering were just a few of the mind-expanding topics enjoyed by Year 6 and 7 students taking part in the 2019 Junior GPS Academic Day of Excellence.

Toowoomba Grammar School played host to more than 120 students from seven GPS Schools who enjoyed the exceptional learning experience, designed to challenge, engage and develop friendships.

Mr Robert Jeffries, Toowoomba Grammar School teacher and event organiser commented, “The Junior GPS Academic Day of Excellence was an extremely positive experience for all involved. Students from all schools came with the right mindset and embraced the unique opportunity with which they were provided. All of the students represented their schools with aplomb in attitude, behaviour and a willingness to get to know like-minded people from different schools. It was wonderful to see how well they mingled, not only during the activities, but also during breaks. It was heartening to hear from so many students of the positive and varied experiences they took away from the event.”

The GPS Spirit of Fellowship was very much in evidence throughout this inspiring day!
