Nail-biting end to the GPS 100 Football season!

An exciting and very competitive season of GPS football saw teams from across the GPS schools play to a great standard. The battle for the Centenary Premiership title was hard fought and the season result came down to nail-biting finale with the results from the last games of the last round being all important.

Nudgee College took home the trophy after a tense and exciting match with a very strong team from The Southport School, giving Nudgee their first outright GPS Football Premiership win since 2003. Churchie came in second position, followed closely by Ipswich Grammar School in third.

Outstanding support from the whole GPS community made this a great football season and the spirit of the Centenary was on show at many games. Brisbane State High School’s match against Brisbane Grammar School put GPS100 in the spotlight, with the logo proudly painted on the pitch, and a GPS 100 cake enjoyed by players and coaches after the game.

Players, staff, coaches, officials and supporters can be proud of an outstanding GPS Centenary Football season.
