On Friday 16 October the blue and white prevailed on home soil when the St Joseph’s Nudgee College Junior Track and Field team secured the GPS Championship title.

This is a back-to-back win for the College’s youngest athletes after their victorious effort, also at the school’s Hendry Oval complex, in 2019.

Nudgee College Sport Director Mr Anthony Connellan said the school was honoured to again host this significant event on the Junior GPS calendar.

“While it was a different event this year due to the COVID-19 regulations, the 10 to 12 year old boys still managed to create an enjoyable and supportive carnival atmosphere,” he said.
“We are very proud of our athletes for rising to the occasion to retain the Junior GPS Track and Field trophy in 2020.”

Congratulations to all athletes from the nine GPS member schools for their sportsmanship, competitive spirit and dedication to their chosen track or field event.
