(1889–1963) Dr James Vincent Duhig was the first Professor of Pathology (1938-1947) at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane and helped to establish the School of Medicine at UQ. He was Founder of the Red Cross Blood Bank in Queensland.
Emeritus Professor Douglas Harry Lee, Nudgee College 1919
Emeritus Professor Douglas Harry Lee was a Doctor of Medicine, specialised in Tropical Medicine. In 1935 he was Rockefeller Scholar at Harvard. In 1936 he was appointed as the first Professor of Physiology in the University of Queensland.
