The Hon John Muir QC, Nudgee College 1959-1962

The Hon John Muir QC. John retired as a Judge of the Queensland Court of Appeal on 26 December, 2014. He was appointed to the Court in July 2007 after serving as a trial division Judge from April 1997. For the five years prior to his appointment to the Court of Appeal, he was the senior Commercial List Judge.

John has served as; Chairman of the Queensland Law Reform Commission; President of the Land Appeal Court; Chairman of the Committee of the Bar Practice Centre and Chairman of the Rules Committee constituted under the Supreme Court of Queensland Act 1991. He was Chairman of the Queensland All Codes Racing Industry Board between 4 June 2015 and 31 March 2016.
