Edwin was a student at Toowoomba Grammar School from 1925-1928. He was a Rugby Union international and captained the Australian Touring Team to New Zealand in 1936.

Arthur was a student at Toowoomba Grammar School from 1880-1896. He was the School’s first international sportsman representing Australia in Rugby Union in 1899.
One of the School’s greatest ever sportsmen, Old Boy Dr Otto Nothling ’17 was born on 1 August 1900. He is one of only two Australian men to become a dual cricket and rugby international.

John O’Neill was born in Warwick, Queensland, and went to St Mary’s Christian Brothers’ College at Toowoomba, and finished at Nudgee College. A gifted athlete, he had the problem of juggling his athletic ability with the study of medicine at the University of Queensland.
Des McGovern started playing rugby league football in Ipswich before moving to Toowoomba in 1947. He was first selected to represent Queensland in 1949. During the 1950s McGovern was a member of the Toowoomba Bulimba Cup teams, coached by Duncan Thompson.
Denis Flannery (2 April 1928 – 12 February 2012) was an Australian footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s. An Australian International and Queensland interstate representative winger, he played his club football in Ipswich for the Brothers' Club.
