GPS Spirit of Fellowship Round

The Great Public Schools Association of Queensland Round 3 competition will see the Association and its member schools celebrate the "Spirit of Fellowship". Celebrating the courage, determination, commitment, teamwork and respect that has united the GPS Association's nine-member schools since its foundation in 1918.

The Spirit of Fellowship Round transcends the boundaries of competition. It's not solely about winning or losing but the shared experience of playing the sport we love with friends and rivals. 

Our emphasis on mutual respect and sportsmanship sets GPS Member Schools apart. Students compete fiercely but always with integrity and fairness. Rivalries are put aside in favour of cooperation, and victories are celebrated for the scoreline, and the bonds forged on the field and courts.

The GPS Football and Tennis flagship programs will wear custom-designed socks representing the colours of each of the member schools. The Association encourages students to pursue excellence in sport and cultural activities underpinned by the values of commitment, courage, teamwork, healthy competition, integrity, fair play and good sportsmanship.

The value of Sporting and Cultural Activities continues to support our young men's mental health by reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation and encouraging them to connect with people outside the classroom.

Let us strive to emulate the GPS Spirit of Fellowship values in our daily lives, building a brighter future for all students.
