2025 HoR Postponed to 22 March

The Great Public Schools Association of Queensland (GPS) Tropical Cyclone Alfred update #3 HoR

Due to ongoing impacts from ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred and the continued closure of Wyaralong Dam, the GPS Head of the River, originally scheduled for 15 March 2025, has been officially postponed.

The safety of our athletes, officials, and spectators remains our top priority. The GPS has worked closely with relevant authorities to determine a suitable rescheduled date supported by member school Headmasters and Principals.

Due to the current closure of Wyaralong Dam.

• The GPS Head of the River will go ahead on Saturday 22 March
• No spectator parking will be available at Wyaralong Dam.

While recent challenges have been significant, our collective priority remains the safety of our students and the opportunity to hold a successful Head of the River. We appreciate the ongoing commitment of our schools to supporting our athletes and ensuring a well-organised and enjoyable event.
