Rhodes Scholars

Peter Cameron was a student at Toowoomba Grammar School from 1960-1963. He was awarded the Rhodes in 1968 and became Professor of Mathematics at Queen Mary, University of London.

Peter Kanowski is currently Master of University House, Australian National University, and Professor of Forestry in the Fenner School of Environment & Society. He was a Rhodes Scholar in 1983, where he completed a doctorate in forest genetics.

In 1995 Michael Huggins is named BBC’s fifth Rhodes Scholar.

John Wylie AM is a leading Australian investment banker. He is Chairman of the Australian Sports Commission and President of the State Library of Victoria Board.

Stephen Daley is a Biomedicine Discovery Fellow in the Infection and Immunity Program, Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute, at Monash University, Melbourne. Stephen Daley trained in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at the University of Queensland, graduating in 2000.

In 2008 Robert Mullins is named BBC’s sixth Rhodes Scholar.

Became Terrace’s 18th Rhodes Scholar in 2017.

Andreas Heger was a student at Toowoomba Grammar School from 1997-2001. He was awarded the Rhodes in 2010.
